About me - Norman Clack

About me

In late 1991 I stood face to face with my own brokenness and found out that the love Jesus has for us is far greater than what we can ever comprehend.
Life took me on several journeys and I eventually met my beautiful wife Gerda in early 2001. We got married in February 2002.
I love Jesus and what He stands for and I believe we were all created with potential. I believe organized religion has created more evil than good. I think morality that is divorced from the Good News of Jesus Christ will be futile and contributes to a life of vanity and man-made philosophies. I believe in Godly principles rather than rules. I love life and believe it is a gift! I believe God created us to live life to the fullest!
I don't believe it was God who created mosquitoes but I've got a scary smart scientist friend who tries to convince me that they have some twisted role to play in the eco-system and in the greater scheme of things. One just bit me on my elbow and knuckle so I still don't believe this was God's idea! I believe laughter is Divine!
I adore my daughter Carla and learn from her everyday what it means to have joy rather than happiness. I look forward to the birth of my second child in June!

Religion & Spirituality > Churches & Organizations Assessing the purpose of the Christian church

Over the past 17 years that I have been involved in ministry and the church I've seen the good and the bad side of Church. I believe the Institutionalised church has become many things over the last two millennia. I have seen how churches run empty and even how a church building in my hometown got turned into a pub. I have also seen how a church overflowed with young and old people. How people will stand in queues at the doors of the church to attend a services. I have experienced how church life impacted my spiritual growth. How it ignited in me a desire to devote my life to something big...
