About me - Betty Carew

About me

Hi, my name is Betty Carew. I am a wife for 43 years, a mother and a grandmother. I am also a writer.

I enjoy writing tremendously and it is and was always a big part of my life. I am currently in the process of writing a book which is taking a back burner these days. I have written many articles on a wide variety of topics and have truly enjoy writing all of them. I find that I like the challenge that Helium offers and hope to contribute to Helium for a long time to come. I appreciate the freedom retirement gives me, enabling me the time to do what I love the most.

We have two wonderful grandchildren that are 17 and 13 years of age and being boys offer their own challenges to their mother but I can sit back and play Grandma. They live far away from us but travel makes the distance a lot closer as they sometimes travel to us or we travel to them. Oh yes, we also have a daughter that we love dearly and is very proud of and do enjoy seeing her too.

I live in the small coastal community of Grates Cove, Newfoundland, where peace reigns and there is beauty abound. I feel very fortunate to have the privilege of living here. It has close ties for me I was born here.
