The original BMW 5 series came with various engine sizes from the 4 cylinder carburetter fuel injected 2.0 liter engine which developed 115bhp, to the 3.5 liter generating 218bhp, and over the years the engines have been modified and developed to produce engines ranging from the 2.0 liter, 120bhp to the colossal 5.0 liter 500bhp v10 beast recently launched by BMW.
