I am a 26 year old male from the Midwest. Growing up, I had the opportunity to live everywhere from a small town in North Dakota to a large suburb of Chicago. After High school I joined the Marine Corps as a Military Policeman. I completed my active duty term honorably and am currently attending College. The summer of 2007 was a stressfull time in my life, as I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and involuntarily recalled into the Marines for a tour in Iraq. I was very blessed because the cancer did not spread and was caught early and removed and the Marine Corps turned me down for the deployment because of it. I was married in March of 2008 to the woman of my dreams.
If putting U.S. military and federal agents at risk for their lives and hurting international rapport and diplomatic ability is considered a public service, than WikiLeaks has certainly accomplished this. The WikiLeaks release of classified data is undoubtedly a crime according to the federal Espionage Act (18 USC 793), yet there are those who continue to ignore the law and redefine public service to make it an oxymoron: harmful public service.
