I am a 28 year old woman living in the East Midlands, UK. I have written poetry for a long time, rather than a diary, I write my life in verse it seems. I also enjoy a good, civil debate in regard to topical issues and am an eternal optimist when it comes to human nature.

I have ambitions in regard to my writing, the overwhelming one being, finish the book! I write for pleasure, for release, but mostly, because it's what my pen does whenever a blank piece of paper is within reach.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I read thrillers, watch too much tv, and listen to anything that moves my heart or feet.

was as a waitress/dishwasher when I was thirteen.

is on its way.

I am not a fan of Britney Spears. If I am honest, she is a symbol of everything that terrifies me about western society. The tabloid sensationalism, the excess money, the image, the desire for fame, the shallowness of it all. However what terrifies me more, is that so many sit at home, tune into E! and sit on their sofas with no clue where their own kids are, shaking their head at a young woman self destructing in front of millions of judgmental eyes.
