: About Me

Greetings everyone! Saw this ad on the side of MySpace and thought this would be a fun outlet to show my creative writing skills. I should have probably written a book by now, but I'm a huge procrastinator and I'm also a full-time student.
I currently attend a community college and will be transferring to UTSA in the fall and then if all goes as planned I will be submitting my application to Penn State and hope to be a student there in the fall of 2009. Obviously, I'm a nursing major...lol. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love doing the procedures (IVs, catheters, SAMPLE histories, applying casts, etc.) I would eventually like to be in charge of my own ER. There's always something different happening and it's so fast-paced. I am not the kind of person who could work behind a desk!
As I said before, I love to write and I would like to write a book about my experiences in the military. Yes, I was in the active Army for 4 years and I was stationed in Baumholder, Germany then I was sent to Baghdad, Iraq for 13 months. That was a really great time for me. It really opened my eyes to a lot of other cultures. I was able to do some traveling to Amsterdam, Venice, Belgium, Switzerland and various cities in Germany. My final duty station was in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina(home of the 82nd Airborne) and I would not recommend that place to anyone. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
So this site seems like the best place to start with improving my writing skills and the possibility of opening more doors to better writing opportunities. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated:)
