I am an amateur writer, have never had anything published. I have written an autobiography that was not picked up by any of the publishers that I sent it to. Some of the excerpts from that book are posted as articles here.
I am also in the process of writing a murder mystery novel. One chapter of that book is also posted here.

As a gay woman, I have to say that I have felt more ridicule coming from my own family than I have from the general public. My family has always been very homophobic, so I knew that it was going to be tough when I came out. I had very different reactions from people when I came out. My daughter cried, then laughed.
