: About Me

My name is Daniel Brown, from Scarborough, United Kingdom. I write dark 'emo' poetry and also i am a trainee journalist. My poetry is dark, thoughtful, life-relevant and emotional. My writing is aimed at teenagers of the 'emo' stereotype. I myself am one.
My poetry has been described as 'thought-provoking' 'eye-openingly real', and 'poetry that captures true emotions and feelings perfectly'. Having been told for many years that i have talent as a writer, i finally made my break in 2008, writing my first series of poems, 'Silent Screams: Tales of the Broken' - i am really only a beginner but i am learning more and more as time goes on, and hopefully the more constructive criticism people leave, the more i can learn and improve. SLIP AWAY Here we go It's the end Starting the end of the long and crumbling way I'll make them pay Cos nobody can make me suffer in this way Is this the place I used to love Is this the place that Ive been dreaming of Above my head I see a dove My one mistake I fell in love So slip away I wont be long Just slip away And hope I'm wrong So slip away So far from here If you look in my eyes Can you see the fear If you look in my eyes Do you see a tear So slip away Ignore the love Look above And see the dove But now I'm here I have no fear My hearts a mess So make a guess.. ..Why.
