It is my experience that the amount of time spent considering the proper and appropriate name for a new cat is directly proportional to the amount of love one is bringing to the pet/owner relationship. Or, if you are living in Boulder, Colorado, the pet/guardian relationship! There are three approaches to naming a new cat. Approach one, the approach I favored when naming our new kitten, is to think of the coolest and most unique name possible.
