: About Me

After thirty years of living the life trying to keep up in the "fast lane" I decided to change everything.

Now, I would have to say my younger brother's death from a heart attack at the age of 49 had a lot to do with my decision, but in the sum of all things came change.

When one boils down the components of one's life, one sees the essence of what their life had become. At the same time of decision I adopted a theme song from from the band, Switchfoot, where they ask, "...this is your life, are you who you want to be?"

With knowledge comes decision and, if one is up to the challenge, change will happen; and for me, change did and is still happening.

Who I was is not who I am, and who I am today, is not who I will be tomorrow, and that is how it is to be for me. Letting go of life's preconceptions, absolutes if you will, and embracing new thoughts, new ideologies, and more importantly, taking ownership of the outcome. Good, bad, or indifferent.

Mercy in the place of judgment; questions in substitution for having all the answers; and life lived one day at a time.

I was with my wife late Friday afternoon as we started to leave for a four O-clock meeting with a new client in Meyer's Flat, California. Just as we were about to enter southbound on highway 101, we saw a sight that made us both do a double-take.
