About me - C. M. Erickson

About me

I am a Management Services Specialist, a former newspaper photojournalist, freelance writer, West Point graduate, former Active Duty Army officer, veteran of Iraq, and now a proud Army spouse commanding a company in the Army Reserves.

I am your Spanish Language sub channel steward, and am thrilled to serve the polyglots here on Helium. Feel free to write me with any comments or suggestions!

I double majored in Spanish and German at West Point, with a minor in Nuclear Engineering. I'm an Army certified Master Fitness Trainer. My hobbies include working out, gardening, scrapbooking, and traveling. My husband and I recently started doing Cross Fit, and that is an amazing workout all on its own. I learned to snowboard in the Alps, and one day hope to live within weekend driving distance of a ski resort so I can get back to riding powder.

I lived in Germany for five years, with extensive travel to Austria, Denmark, Sweden, France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, Iraq, and Kosovo. My husband and I have been back in the States for three years, and we're both thinking it's time to see more of the world.
