About me - Elizabeth King

About me

I'm a senior at Emerson College, graduating in August with a Writing, Literature & Publishing degree.

I experience in many genres, including fiction, personal essay, journalism, magazine writing, drama, comedy, and sports writing.

I'm interning with a local Daily Newspaper, and hope to write for a local newspaper, magazine, or alternative newsweekly. My favorite topics to write about are music, travel, food, and sports.

I am a huge Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan, and write a lot of fiction and nonfiction about New England.

I love punk rock, indie rock, classic rock... all kinds of things. I'd say my top 3 bands right now are Buddy Holly, The Queers, and Juliana Hatfield. I have experience writing music reviews for a college newspaper, and Dig This Real, a music 'zine based out of New York City.

My hobbies are writing, playing guitar, cooking, playing baseball, candlepin bowling (i'm in a league!), poker, reading, and going to concerts.
