: About Me

I am a 27-year-old who loves to write. My favorite things to write are fiction and poetry, but I have recently discovered that I also enjoy writing non-fiction. My latest jaunts into that world have been reviews, particularly of movies. I am currently working on a young adult novel.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and listening to music. My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Torey Hayden, and some of my favorite books, besides anything written by these two, are the Chronicles of Narnia, the Harry Potter series, White Oleander, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Jane Eyre. I enjoy playing anything classical, anything by Billy Joel, or anything by Jim Brickman on the piano. My tastes in music are extremely eclectic, and my favorite artists/groups are Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Genesis, Sting, The Police, Mark Schultz, FFH, and Jars of Clay.

I work in retail, which I enjoy. I am married and have a stepson, and we are in the process of adopting a sibling group from the foster care system.

it's too much, more than anyone should have to bear. it is my burden to cling to and to hide: the secret to being a 'good girl.' it weighs on my shoulders, surrounds and suffocates me; it tears me apart, shatters my soul like glass. I already know I will never recover all of the fragments, and I am only four years old.
