: About Me

I'm a "nudging 30" year old guy from Queensland, Australia. Being the somewhat lethargic kind of person that I am, my enjoyment of writing stems predominantly from the fact that stringing words together on a page has always been relatively easy for me. (As very much opposed to stringing numbers together) Despite this, I have not been able to exercise enough motivation or self discipline to complete any tertiary qualifications, so I am currently employed by the Australian postal service. Not a bad job, but certainly not what I would call "living the dream." I'd love to make an income out of my writing, but I have no idea where there might be a demand for my particular style. So in the meantime I am finding some level of contentment in submitting articles to sites like this. I hope you enjoy my work almost as much as I hope you offer me money or luxury items to produce more of it!

P.S: As a postal worker I can tell you that writing "FRAGILE" on a parcel is not enough to ensure the item's safe delivery. Use bubble wrap - lots of it - and then write "FRAGILE". Just a tip.

My passion is ...

My wife, writing, music and horses. Maybe I should have married a horse that could write songs...

I know too much about ...

the perils of always sticking your tongue out when you concentrate - particularly when you're young and you're climbing up the side of a log castle at the park and you slip and bite your tongue and yeah, it can all get very messy.

My parents always told me ...

they were just closing their bedroom door so that they could have a "cuddle." And to think I actually believed them...

My childhood ambition ...

was to be a jockey. This dream died a painful death once I reached 6 foot tall and 90kgs.

My favorite memory ...

the things I did that time I had amnesia...

Why I write ...

Because I am an average athlete, hopeless at Maths and Science, and even worse at verbal communication.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Just read "Layer Cake" by J J Connolly, love watching Family Guy, Amercian Dad and the Office (UK version only) and currently listening to the neighbours having a domestic dispute

My best moment ...

I was riding home from school on my pushbike, it was a hot day, I was exhausted so I had my arms on the handle bars and my head down, just cruising along when all of a sudden, BANG! I ran into the back of a parked car. An event I'll always cherish.

My inspiration ...

an evil gnome with a cattle prod that zaps me if the quantity and quality of my writing is not to his liking.
