About me - Les Thompson

About me

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York, USA. I just enjoy the English Language and endeavour, constantly, to improve in its use. I have been a Television and Radio Host with emphasis on Finance and Economics. I am a former prosecutor and a former Zoning Board of Appeals Commissioner in one of the larger cities in the Northeast.

Within a few months, the first book of my poetry will be published. I have been surprised at the response I have received to the verses I have written. As a consequence, I intend to write more.

Because my earlier training was in the British System, I still am more comfortable using the English approach to spelling, pronunciation, and sentence structure. So please forgive me if, at times, my writing seems odd to you. In due course, you will come to understand it. At least, I hope you will.
