About me

I've been writing ever since I can remember-it's how I express who I am and the best way I know of to deal with the transitions and challenges in my life. I'm a native New Yorker(Long Island and upstate)who has lived in the south for over fifteen years. I enjoy creative writing, and previously published essays on christian living for several churches and the now defunct Themestreams. I've attended several writing conferences, including the Christian Writer's Conference in Glorietta. Some the subjects I address are relationships, breast cancer survival, depression, travel, and life as a christian in today's society. I'm in my early forties and am working towards a bachelor's degree in English, with hopes of becoming a teacher. In addition to my writing I make collages, jewelery, and silk flower arrangements. As long as I'm creating I'm happy and at peace!

Four years after I discovered what I thought was his first affair my husband walked out, for yet another woman. I then learned that the adultery went back at least ten years. And yet, actually filing for a divorce was one of the most difficult, agonizing things I've ever had to do. It went against everything I believed in. How do you sur...
