My name is Kodjo Adadevoh. Both my first and last names are Ghanaian, from a country in West Africa.

I was born in Boston; however, I returned to West Africa (Nigeria) when I was a baby. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. I attended elementary, high school and college in Nigeria; I earned a BSC in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University.

I returned to the United States in 1988 to pursue a degree in business. I met my wife in Washington DC in 1989 and eventually married her in 1991. In 1991, I enrolled in an MBA program majoring in Finance at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore MD, I obtained my MBA degree in 1995. I then enrolled in an MS Biotechnology program at Johns Hopkins University in 1999, eventually graduating in 2005 (after a two year sabbatical).

My first seven years in the United States were spent in the food and flavor industry, analyzing fruit juices, flavors and beverages on a contract basis. I have spent the last twelve years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. I have held increasing roles of responsibility in both development and quality departments of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
