We are born in a clear field, but die in a dark forest according to an old Russian proverb. If I were to take such an estimation about life and apply it to my own rather non-descript existence at this point in time, where would I be? Am I yet so matured by all the world's trials and wonders that I can venture into the deep, rich undergrowth of a dark forest?
