About me

I'm a retired Licensed Practical Nurse of 35 years.

I love to write poetry, articles, how-to articles, write verses for greeting cards.

I wrote my own curriculum for my church class.
1. "Fruit of the Spirit"
2. "The Whole Armor of God"

I'm published in The Journal Of Practical Nursing, 1967,"Reassurance Needed" under maiden name Osborn

I'm published in Journal of Practical Nursing, 1975, "How to Care for An Laminectomy Patient", by Donna Rae McCay

I have 6 greeting card verses published

I love to sing, sew tote bags, make angel pins, candle pin bowling, swim, prayer walk, street ministry, crafts, visit the ocean, camping (younger years).

Our family hosted 17 foreign exchange students from different countries. 5 students were for the whole high school year and the rest short term 2-4 weeks.

I love to make healthy muffins.

I had total knee replacement surgery:
left knee - August 14, 2007
Right knee - August 17, 2007
Emergency surgery Left knee on August 30 2007
Emergency surgery Left knee on September 4, 2007

Left knee surgery -
Incision/Drainage to suction vac - 7/31/08

Left knee surgery
Closed with small drain - 8/2/08

We have 2 sons and 2 grand daughters.

I love people of all nationalities and ages.

But most of all I love Jesus, lover of my soul.

living in Coleharbor, North Dakota, no electricity, coal cook stove, rustic red pump in kitchen, home made snow ice cream, 20 foot drifts of snow, 20 below zero, mom covering rocks with flannel to put in our beds to keep our feet warm

babysitting for 50 cents an hour

FAVORITE SPARE TIME HOBBIES THAT REALLY HELP ME RELAX ARE NUMEROUS.

1. Writing is a hobby and the love of my life and helps me relax and take my mind off my pain that I have had for 6 months. I am always jotting down notes on scraps of paper. I have clipped articles out of magazines and newspapers for the past 40 years.I have filled bags and boxes of clippings that need to be filed for further writing resources. I dislike filing so I am behind there.
