About me - Carol Natoli

About me

Being a past  Vice-President of the Theta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Honor Society,  member of Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society and the American Association of University Women, as well as a teacher and Library Media Specialist, who is well-versed in the research skills and technology area, has enabled me to be familiar with urban and suburban school issues. This has been   through experience and staff development, if I may humbly say, and have enjoyed every minute of the journey!

I have written a children's article, for example, first in a series, about Information Literacy, written for children, which could truly could be made into a book series;  it will truly ignite the passion in children for them to become curious about topics and learn where to find them! No matter how much I love to write, that part of being a Media Specialist cannot be denied!   Whether one is interested in inventions or the pyramids of Egypt, being a librarian is the perfect career path which has become the precedent of my sharing information literacy within the world of  editorial news!

While being an English major,  besides a researcher, opportunities have risen to fine-tune skills that one is always developing.  Such is the case of my attending classes with Helium, being that I am a Channel Manager for the Educational Philosophy channel. While writing,  I love to delve into such areas of homework habits, state testing, differentiated learning, parental support  for their child's education and express my viewpoints along the lines of  "Is Homework or Sports a Priority in Your House?" I have sold several articles, won contests,  and continue to challenge myself and work to earning more acredidations within Helium, such as a Marketplace Premier Writer, and being part of the Editorial Advisory Board. .

Being well-versed in the research skills and technology area, experience enabled me to be accepted on the Helium's fact-checking team. Search Engine Optimization, is a great interest of mine, as I continue to learn about Web 2.0. While I would like to have an "educational issues" newspaper column, in the future, SEO and affiliate marketing, I hold dear to my heart, as well as editing, within the arena of journalism. Publishing!  There is no greater field!

Helium can be an avenue that allows one to find one's own writing style and voice, which can first start out as a hobby. This platform allows one to make money, learn, and make contacts along the way. Golf and skiing are two very expensive hobbies; writing doesn't cost you a thing, but permits revenue to come to you. What could be better than that? It is now that I understand what a passion for writing is all about!

......I didn't understand why I would ever 'want' a computer, never mind,'need one! Plato once referred to "not knowing what you don't know", in the "Cave". In other words, you don't know what you will miss if you never had it. Isn't' everything relevant in this world. Who ever thought that they would want a microwave and who can remember what life was like without a cell phone? I remember standing on line at the Wayne Manor, with 100 other people at midnight on New Year's Eve, waiting to call home and wish my parents a Happy New Year. Did you ever think that the telephone would have an of...
