I've been writing avidly since sixth grade but haven't actively pursued it as a potential career until recently. I'm extremely passionate about books and reading, photography, animals, and many other things. These hobbies and interests have taught me how to properly research different topics to glean the most important information on any given subject. I'm engaged and busy with wedding plans (it really isn't as easy as it looks). A have a cat and two rats and have grown up around various animals my whole life including dogs, horses, and chickens. I'm young (nineteen) but for my age, I've gone through a lot and had the opportunity to learn a good amount of life lessons. I hope others can learn from my experience and (hopefully) avoid the same mistakes I've made.

Very few people recognize that there are more types of abuse than just physical abuse. Emotional abuse is just as harmful to a child and just as permanent. Like physical abuse, it can lead a child to grow up unable to trust others and having a lack of confidence in him/herself.
