If I had to write my autobiography I would title it "An Oprah Book" in order to cut out the middleman. My story has all the ingredients necessary to attract Oprah's attention. There is abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, sex, teen pregnancy, genetic fatal diseases, depression, violence, mental illness... you name it, my family has it. And yet, I still think life is beautiful.
I write because it keeps me sane. It's my constant friend, that voice in my head that is always analyzing, arguing, giggling and pondering. When I write I can feel the stress of my life melting away.
I recently went through a devastating loss following a home robbery. I've lost virtually all my former articles, stories and the beginnings to my first best seller. I'm very excited to join a community of fellow writers in hopes of getting back some of the passion I allowed another person to take from me.
