The Departed is without a doubt the best film of 2007. Scorcese is on top form going back to his gangster roots of his first film, Mean Streets. OK, it may be a remake, but it's so stylishly done that it could easily rank among his best work. There's alot to offer from this opus and boy did it pay off at the Oscars, winning four. The acting is top knotch, and with so many stars playing their parts to perfection you've got to say the casting was spot on.
