: About Me

I've always been an avid reader and I believe that is what led me to being a writer. I write to please myself and have not had much of an eye towards publishing, mostly because my inner editor is too harsh. I push on, anyway, and have three novels in the works. I've been known to dabble in short stories, some flash fiction, and poetry, as well.

I grew up in Chicago and currently live in New York where I've worked in the real estate business for the past 10 years. Besides reading and writing, I enjoy photography, drawing, cross-stitching, and traveling. Also, I will admit to being fascinated by anything relating to the paranormal, UFOs, lost civilizations, etc. I love animals and will always have pets. Right now I have a cat named Willow.

I joined Helium with the express purpose of improving my writing skills. But I've found it is also a great way to inspire creativity, with so many topics to write about. I'm very excited about this!

I have 10 brothers and sisters...that means I have LOTS of favorite memories! Let's see... making leaf forts in the front yard, weekend trips to North Ave. Beach rain or shine, playing Hide 'n Touch with my siblings on warm summer nights

The anticipation of playing darts is pretty much the only thing that can lure me into any drinking establishment these days. I'm not a tournament player, or even a very good player, but I can hit a bulls eye when I need one.
