About me - Barbara Griffin

About me

I'm a 55 year old in search of the beginning of a new life. I look at the world and see endless possibilities, choices and avenues in which to pursue. I realize there is life after divorce and beyond lost of loved ones which I have power to control if I keep my wits about me. Therefore, I explore the world through my writing, I've channeled to the past to examine the missing link of my imagination, childhood wonder.

I fused those images into my mind's maturity of thought and combined both forces. If there is one certainty I'm sure to accept is that thoughts don't grow old people do. People tend to relate their current state of immortal thoughts by present age or status in life, then preceed to condition an increase or demise, vitality or dormancy, function or paralysis.

The power of my thoughts are the psychological makeup of who I am, were, and could be. I write in the likeness of others, because writing touches the unknown by making it known. Somewhere within me is a mystery waiting to be revealed, a story unfolding, a marvel of life only I can tell and so much more, that's the excitement of writing.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Writing, creating in verse the thoughts of the mind is exciting.

I know too much about ...

Life in general but not life as whole or to the deepest aspect.

My parents always told me ...

To speak up, I was a very shy and quiet person.

My childhood ambition ...

To be a nurse, however that ambition grew scared of needles.

My favorite memory ...

Is when I sat on my fathers lap in his rocking chair as a child.

Why I write ...

I write because I love it, I express myself better that way.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Just about everything, life is a learning experience.

My first job ...

I was the person who got stuck with all the paper work.

My best moment ...

My best moments were when I gave birth to my children

My inspiration ...

My heart is my inspiration, I feel, I write, I am

I once lived within a loving life Among fun and happy people. Until a time of dreadful events Fell upon my family one night. Everything will be alright, Were the last words she spoken with A frozen smile upon her  lovely face. I watched mother's life slowly freeze Like ice cresting over a winter lake. A little girl tearfully gazing at her joy Of happiness slip away beneath snow Treacherously blown over her mother, Lost the warmth of her soul forever. Uthena, ruler of Datland was t...
