Hey, welcome to my profile. I'm trying to showoff as much of myself as possible-wait, that didn't sound right. Anyway, a little about myself. This typical Leo teddy bear is loyal to those I call my friends, a pretty good conversationalist, and has a wicked sense of humor-almost nothing is untouchable. I LOVE old black and white movies and my favorites run from "Cabin in the Sky" to "All About Eve" to "Casablanca". Don't get me wrong, I have colorized favorites, too. Musically, my tastes lie away from the mainstream-my I-pod ranges from Charlie Parker to Miles Davis to The Beatles to James Brown to Prince. While I don`t have a favorite author, I`ll read just about anything as long as it`s good. My passion is writing. I have been doing so off and on since I was about 12 years old. While I've never been published, I hope to do so very soon. I consider myself a sports junkie. I live and die with my Mets, Giants, and Knicks. The single most important person in my life is my daughter. As the late, great Barry White once said, she`s "....my first, my last, my everything...." Nothing compares 2 her. Lastly, I've recently discovered "The Secret" and the Laws of Attraction. I'm a work in progress and not afraid to a admit as much.
In a perfect world there would be no such term as "affirmative action". A person would be accepted because of qualifications for employment, a university or even something as germane as purchasing a home regardless of gender or color. The plain truth is that we do not live in a perfect society. There are those who say that the need for affirmative action programs has passed; that we live in a situation now where "reverse discrimination" exists. In actuality, we have always had a form of "affirmative action" in this country and has been in place ever since the years after the Reconstruction...
