I am a Journalism graduate who turned his fascination with the Internet into a better paying job as a software engineer. But I miss writing, and Helium seems like a godsend!
I currently work at HowStuffWorks.com and I love it. While I am not a writer for HowStuffWorks, I do get to mingle with the editorial staff and say things like "Is that the latest AP Stylebook?" and "What a great lead paragraph!"
I have a wonderful wife and five active kids, which means I do most of my writing late at night. They are my inspiration and the focus of my life
While computers help me earn a paycheck, photography drives my passion. I jumped feet first into digital photography in 2002 and have never looked back. Playing with apertures, shutter speeds, and lighting fuels my thirst for more and more knowledge, which I love to pass on to others.
I tried making a living as a professional photographer for a while, but I have comfortably settled in now as a freelancer. As such, I do about 15-20 jobs a year for fun and extra money. And while I do a wide variety of photography, sports action is what I love most!
