: About Me

Have always loved writing and would write about anything and everything as a child. (I still have copies of some of that early stuff (Mums are great for hoarding stuff and then springing it on you at a later date) but its amazing what captures and fires a child's imagination!

As I got older I tended toward the more creative side, substituting fact for fantasy and outrages fiction; A story about "What I did in my Holidays" although always with a tenuous link to the facts was often steeped in the more fanciful.

Later, writing became more personal, something private and always scared of criticism, I very rarely allowed anyone access to a lot of my stuff. Over the years it accumulated and I'm slowly dragging it out of storage, giving it a bit of a tweak and holding it up for comment.

So who am I? I'm a thirty-something edging closer to fourty-something, English girl with a love of the dark and macabre. I enjoy horror and the darker side of science fantasy but I also like to think I have a quirky and dry sense of humour. I enjoy watching the world and like to record it in my own fashion. Some may say I have a cynical view of life, a view which is probably quite accurate, though I'm usually a 'glass half full' type of girl, unless its last orders at the bar.

My aim in life however is simple, to be happy and to enjoy what I do. Having recently had to close my business and return to the ongoing battle for employment, this aim may be tested. In the meantime, I hope to get some more of the writing stuff done and would appreciate any comments/suggestions you, as the reader, may wish to volunteer.
