About me

I have both a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. Currently, I work as both a freelance writer and a college professor of writing in New England. My areas of writing expertise are vast and encompass everything you can imagine: from cookbooks to video game reviews; from independent screeplays to Romantic Era Style poetry. My list of credible publications is available upon request.

Previous to my writing-specific work, I worked in the field of social services. During this time, I worked as a rape crisis advocate and helped to run a nonprofit rape crisis center, I worked as a youth mentor and helped children embrace education, and I worked as a professional in the field of Children's Case Management matching children with Axis I and Axis II diagnoses to adequate services to meet their needs with specific regard to Special Education. Prior to my work in social services, I was a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent for a prominent insurance company, and I was licensed to sell insurance in several states; and, I have even worked in publishing at a small press that published exclusively poetry chapbooks. As you can see, my experience is far-reaching.

For my stress-relief, I am very active in my community as an environmentalist. We plant trees, we participate in community fundraisers, and I produce and direct nonprofit theatre as a way to raise money for causes I believe in while simultaneously educating the community about causes of importance to me. I live in the lovely four seasons of New England with my partner and my thirty-pound cat.

We obtained our Master's Degrees only to discover that, without a PhD., liberal arts jobs are virtually non-existent. And so, we found ourselves seeking gainful employment in the only area we ...
