I am the proud 42 year old Father of an incredibly beautiful, brilliant and intelligent 8 year old daughter whom I've nicknamed, "The Prosecutor" for her artistic ability to question me on subjects that at times leaves me stumbling for answers.

After experiencing the horrors of the "Family Courts" I started Ohio Council For Fathers Rights out of complete indignation.

I feel that I owe it to my daughter to fix a very broken system whereby the States of our nation are making hundreds of millions (and in some cases billions) of dollars in profits off of child support collections as they extort non custodial parents (NCP's) about 85% nationwide of which are Fathers.

Child support is a heartless scam. Tell me why one parent (the non-custodial (NC)) who in some cases has to pay up to 65% of their "NET" monthly income to the custodial parent (CP)? How is that fair? How is that fair when they have the same is not more bills and they have their children 50% of the time?

How many times have you heard a CP say, "my" child support is late? It's not "their" money, it should be spent on the child, however there's no accountability. The CP doesn't have to show where they spend one penny of their child's child support dollars. The law states that, "the money is presumed to be spent on the child." The corruption is sickening, disgusting and down right diabolical.

I know of cases in my organization where the mother spends the child support dollars on a drug or alcohol addiction while children sleep on the floor because they have no bed.

In one case, this was brought to the attention of a judge. The Father asked, "You're honor, would you please order the mother to buy a bed for my child and set a deadline to do so?" The judges answer? "No!"

Child support isn't about the best interest of the children, it's about the billions in profits the states are making off of child support collections. Shouldn't a trust fund be set up for the children to assure that they receive their support dollars with the extra money going to a college or house fund? Instead, many CP's spend excess child support dollars on their own lifestyle and drive brand new cars and live in beautiful homes while the NCP is living in the projects.

How is it fair for the NCP to pay the CP up to 65% of their net monthly income when they have to provide a roof over their children's head, they have to buy food, they provide medical coverage, they have to buy clothes and they have to pay their own bills? It's not fair, it's extortion and involuntary servitude!

It's not fair and the states don't care as long as they collect their billions in profits off of their child support collections. As I've said before, NCP's have picked up the welfare tab where Uncle Sam left off.

First and foremost, it's an incontrovertible and statistical fact that more non-custodial mothers default on their child support orders than do non-custodial fathers. Furthermore, the mythological "deadbeat dad" is just that, a myth. There exists no credible data or evidence to support the "deadbeat dad" ideology. Only a very gullible and ill-informed public, as well as an anti-father, biased media that portrays all fathers (married and single) as incompetent dolts who not only lack meaningful parenting skills, but are also presumed to be incapable of raising their children without the ass...
