I passionate about writing and reading fiction. I also enjoy observing and commenting on life in general and the foibles of all the people around me, and myself of course. I live with my husband and two sons and our springer spaniel, who I try to take for a run every morning to give me a bit of thinking time. I count myself as a feminist and spend some of my time supporting mums with new babies and advocating breastfeeding.

The importance of support and encouragement. I grew up in a family of four girls. Most of the time it was just Mum looking after us, as Dad was away with the Navy. When I was twelve my father decided to leave the family.
