Difficult to know what to write here.....it's been an interesting ride to get where I am.
My background is in psychology, but my greatest education has been travellign the world. I'm now more or less settled in Liverpool, UK, and working as a drugs researcher for Liverpool John Moores University. I'm hoping to start my PhD soon in Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs but I have research interests in a wide range of fields.
Otherwise i'm a happy 42 year old who still finds the world a mystifying and wondrous place. I sincerely hope I never lose that....which is why I wont attach it to my car keys.
I feel compelled to write in support of government funding for needle exchange programs, especially in light of one of the "No" writers who, I feel, eloquently summarised most myths about on injecting drug use and needle exchange. Having worked in this field for several years I feel quite strongly that people should make their decisions about this issue based on genuine evidence rather than beliefs or scare stories.
