My name is Marina Shemesh and I am a South African living in Israel.
I have two very cute daughters , but they can be a bit of a handful sometimes!
I love everything to do with books. I love reading them, reading about them, touching them and even smelling them. Only the new ones though!
I have reached a time in my life now that I must start writing. I really do not want to lie on my death bed and regret that I did not at least try to write.
My interests include gardening, cooking, sewing, reading and painting. I would have done well in the Victorian times!
To keep active I cycle, jog, do Pilates and have recently started to lift weights in the gym.
I have always wanted to write and love keeping a diary. Here at Helium I get to write in a kind and supporting atmosphere.
Helium.com seems the place for new determined writers to me. Encouraging but challenging.

Most of the violent crime being committed in South Africa are being done by young men that have hardly touched a game console on their lives. Suicide bombers are not exactly the type of person who sit and play " Western" video games for hours. I doubt that they would even think of playing a game when they have the option of killing innocent people in the real world.
A lot of violence in real...
