John Melendez worked several years in Hong Kong and Shanghai for A/S Det stasiatiske Kompagni (EAC), a Danish trade company with offices worldwide. John served as Regional Manager for EAC's cargo transport JV established with Beijing City Planning Commission.
John has worked among the ranks of the world's largest software providers and IT education companies. Former Managing Editor for Computer Associates' "Windows Tips & Secrets", a monthly technology newsletter with a circulation of 35,000 subscribers, John now works as a technical writer and industrial consultant. His specialties include: business with China; biodiesel centrifuges; and overseas procurement of industrial goods.
An alumnus of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chinese Studies, John speaks, reads and writes fluent Mandarin Chinese, some German, and fluent English.
PROJECTS
John Melendez's recent projects include:
- Accelerated Biodiesel Manufacture: Centrifuge Applications - Development and sale of industrial-scale centrifuge applications for biodiesel production as a high-speed alternative to settling tank technology. Features applications for: solids clarification from feedstock, heavy-light phase liquid separation, post-wash water extraction, and glycerol purification.
- China Municipal Delegation - Representation of US-based decanter centrifuge resale for Jiangmen City municipal wastewater clarification project.
- China Industrial Sourcing - Procurement of machined parts and raw goods for manufacturing companies, with the aim of retaining uncompromising US-based quality at significant cost savings.
- India Industrial Sourcing - Procurement of raw chemicals and pharmaceuticals at significant cost savings provided from Indian suppliers.
