Middle-aged American male, married with two children. I like high-tech stuff, software and gadgets but I read a lot these days. Acting is fun but harder than it looks, I've occasionally done well. I was paid to sing opera once. I've soloed but never got my pilot's license. I'm in the market for good cruising boat and just the right crew to sail her with. I've always wanted to visit: Peru, New Guinea, India, the South Pole. Wouldn't it be fantastic to design a family sized airship! How come nobody's ever done that?
I like to travel on the bum (but have my Visa card). I think environmental conservation and making use of reusable energy sources are very much undervalued today. I've carried several million dollars worth of product, wearing a paper gown in a class 100 clean room for Intel, and hitchhiked in the rain through Providence with a backpack and the clothes on my back; still not sure where I belong.
I would like to meet Paul Newman and William Crudup. At times, I feel driven to write; other times nothing comes out but junk.
Both of my children are smarter and more beautiful than I. To me this means there is hope for humanity.
A paraphrasing from Katherine Hepburn that I'm particularly fond of these days, "Well, I've done my best, if that's not good enough... I guess you'll have to wait till I'm better."
