The difference between effective and ineffective leadership skills is the results they produce. Not just in the specific job but in the individuals they lead. I think there's nothing worse than working for someone with little or no effective leadership skills who is constantly complaining about the morale and work produced by the group. Especially when this leader does not take criticism well, doesn't want to hear what their employees have to say and makes all the decisions and expects competent people to just follow.
