Words can touch a hurting soul, bring laughter to our lives and give us the opportunity to share a tiny bit of ourselves with one another. My passion for writing sat idle while raising my family. Now that the "empty nest" has become a reality, I decided it is now or never.
With the encouragement of family and friends, I have begun a new adventure and found an amazing challenge.
I love to read, travel, garden and volunteer for a wonderful non-for-profit foundation for childhood cancer, created because of a young man that lived too short a life but taught us how important it is to make a difference in our small corner of the world.
Here at Helium I am doing just that, attempting to make a difference and living a life long dream to write. With the guidance of staff and other members, I have begun a new journey.
As the new Channel Manager of Friendship Advice, I hope to encourage writers to share their wisdom regarding the many issues of friendships, using their experience to write magazine style articles. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments regarding this Channel and I will be happy to assist.
I believe the learning has just begun and hope somewhere along the way to touch a soul or two with my words.
"They say dreams are the windows of the soul-take a peek and you can see the inner workings, the nuts and bolts." Henry Bromel
