Well, by now you probably know my name is Alan Prokop. I have a degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Tulsa. I currently reside in San Diego, CA. I have some political experience, having worked in Washington D.C. for a short time during a presidential election cycle. I love politics, and I love to write. However, this is the first time that I am writing on an on-line forum such as Helium. I love to talk to people who know something about politics, history, the arts, and other things. The United States should not pull out of Iraq if the Iraqis are not able to defend themselves from threats both foreign and domestic because this would 1)enable Arab terrorist organizations and groups such as Al-Queada in Mesopotamia to claim a victory over moderate Arab forces and the United States and 2)re-establish a "Vietnam Pullout Syndrome" in both the United States and abroad that basically recalls the tragic and demoralizing "loss" by the United States in the Asian conflict of the 1970's.
