Big house. Grown kids. Long days. I come home from work and only when I put the key in the door does it rush back to me that all my kids are elsewhere these days. For 20 odd years I came home to a swarming hive of activity and noise. Now, I come home to a different kind of greeting. Instead of "Hi Mama!" and "I'M STARVIN'" or "Did you bring pizza?" when I walk in the back door, now I am greeted with "meow...meow..." and "Tweet! Tweet!" and Ruff! Ruff!".
