My husband and I have 5 daughters. We currently homeschool our youngest 3 girls. Our older two are now out on their own, with one of them recently graduating from college with high honors.
We are a farming family, raising ducks, chickens, rabbits, horses, hogs and several breeds of cattle. We also have stocked ponds and butcher our own meat.
We are very active in our church, where I serve as Sunday School superintendent and as a children's church teacher. I also serve as dorm mom each summer at church camp. I also help with 4H, girl scouts, a crisis help center and teach part time. As needed, I also sub teach for several districts and a nearby Christian school.
I enjoy traveling, camping, writing, reading, sewing, needlework, gardening and preserving foods. I also like to write curriclum and lesson plans for preschool, early ed and middle school children.

I have devised a list of family friendly ideas that can be adapted for almost any age level to not only retain previously learned knowledge, but to also learn more. These activities don't have to be limited to the summer months. They can also be done on weekends, school breaks and eveni...
