About me

I find that most of the best things in life involve either Joss Whedon, Jenny Lewis, or Paul Thomas Anderson, but I'm generally happiest when I get to read things I have written myself, for I'm an egomaniac at heart.

I'm set up in Wales, which is in the UK, which is in Europe, which is in England. I live in England most of the time, but I'm taking a degree in creative writing in Aberystwyth, so am currently trapped in the wilderness. I'm concerned mainly with music, the sort of music you hear in the background during tv ads that sound vaguely familiar to you, even though you can't name the band. I'm here hopefully to bring you closer to those bands, the artists who never quite broke into the mainstream despite making consistently great music. And also: I'm pretty sure that was a clever metaphor about my own career.

I also run a critically acclaimed (note: lie) blog called 'Wilftonville', what you can read through that link on the right. It's frequently silly, often mild in tone, and from time to time there's a joke thrown in. But usually that's unintentional.
