: About Me

Hello to one and all,

My name is Cheryl Lyne (Saylor) Paul and I am reintroducing myself to the Helium community because much has changed in life since I first joined.

I am now 65 years of age and have moved back to California, after living in Leander, Texas for the last six and a half years plus years.  After being married for 25 plus years, I find myself alone due to the passing of my last husband.  Hence, I am learning to live life alone and so I am doing some of the things in life that I have missed like reading, cross-stitching, writing, and a few other things. 

I tried my hand at writing quite a while, but did not pursue it like I wanted to, so now I thought I would give it another try and see if I would be good enough to make some money. A number years ago, I took a class from Long Ridge Writers and have wanted to put some of my skills I learned to work ever since. Over the years, I have been told numerous times by teachers, professors, family and friends that I had a real knack for writing and should as least try to find a way to expose myself to the writing world.

After meeting a Ghost Writer, searching the Internet and looking into the writing world, I came across Helium and like what I read, so I have now redecided to give it a try and join this program to see where it might lead me. None to say the least, I am scared and excited all at the same time, as I now endeavor on a new venture in my old, young life.
