Hi to all Helium members
I started travel writing around 4 years ago. I initially wanted a means to chronicle my various trips abroad for myself, as a way to recall that great meal, that wonderful sight or the friendly people I met along the way. I then found that other folk were interested in reading my journals and since then, I have become an award-winning contributor on www.igougo.com
I live in the southern UK and enjoy travelling, photography and writing as well as archaeology, history, architecture, motor sport and good food.
I travelled extensively throughout Europe in my younger days and first discovered Greece and her islands around 15 years ago. The love affair with this beautiful country has blossomed and flourished since then and I take every opportunity available to visit my favourite islands.
Crete, Rhodes, Kos, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Symi, Pserimos and Kalymnos are the favoured destinations and if anyone has any questions or would like assistance in planning a trip to any of these islands, please do get in touch.

I leave the little coastal village of Anissaras and drive up the narrow lane that leads to the main road that drones consistently with buses, trucks and cars, all heading west for the island's bustling capital, Iraklion, or ...
