I'm taking 2008 as a sabbatical from being a manager and/or a cube farm lackey and trying my luck at this writing malarkey.
My writing interests include all aspects relating to work/life balance, bad bosses, the Tall Poppy Syndrome, book reviews and CHOCOLATE.
My first book has just been published: 'Work/Life Balance for Dummies' (available Wiley Publishing Australia), and I've been interviewed for newspaper and radio about the topic. Bizarrely I have also appeared on radio to talk about my Chocoholism and how I also get paid a small sum to write choccie reviews from a (slightly deranged) Australian perspective.
On a personal level, I'm still trying to complete one beginner karate class without audibly farting; I'm desperately afraid of Cardigans (or becoming one) and yet am proud to be a dag. In addition to being a permanently-recovering chocoholic; I am also the wife of the ever-patient Love Chunks; mother to Sapphire (aged 8) and Jorgi dog Dogadoo. Life never fails to interest, shock, anger, amuse and surprise me.

I knew it was going to be a bad day when I was woken by an uninvited furry alarm clock.
I was visiting my best friend for a few days and camping out on the futon in her cluttered spare room. Unusually for me, I was in a deep sleep, dreaming that I was passionately snogging my all-time-favourite fella, John Cusack, giving it my frenzied best, with he, responding in kind......
....only to be rudely awoken by a slurp across the face by Amanda's cattle dog, Tess, who was only inches away from my face, tongue still lolling out of her mouth, grinning at me. Add to that a potent dose of mo...
