For over 300,000 of the world's children, life is Hell. "Life" may be too generous a word to describe the cursed human experience inflicted upon and endured by a child soldier in every chilling moment of her or his existence. For these invisible children life is a constant struggle in a world of physical exploitation and mental oppression, constructed by forces beyond their control or comprehension. As with manifold other complex human predicaments - ranging from severe poverty to environmental destruction - we can, as we have in the past, look away from the child solider. But we then deny...
