I feel that it is acceptable to re-schedule a job interview, for one very important reason.
People are human and unexpected things may come up. Furthermore, sometimes the interviewer may be the one that need to re-schedule you, for any number of reasons. My point is that the interviewer is not perfect either. However, in my case the interviewer turned out to be incompetent.

She was supposed to interview me on a certain day and did not. Nor did she call me to reschedule the interview with me. Matter a fact, I had to call the Human Resources Department and find out from one of her co-wor...
