I'm an ABC, born and bred in the San Gabriel Valley. I went to public schools and a fancy-pants private college, followed by the grad school factory that is UCLA. I have studied African history since 1987. OK, maybe I am on hiatus right now, working in a fancy-pants private school. I love eating weird foods, traveling to weird places, and meeting interesting people (but not weird people).
