Iam Muyanga Innocent Ziba. I have been a writer since 1992. Most of my stories are on the websites.I have written more than 200 stories.

I am now finishing my degree in journalism with the University of Malawi(state University). Before that, I did my diploma in Theology with the University of Malawi. I also did a diploma with London School of Journalism and passed with a distinction.

I won a scholarship through a competition and did a University Certificate in Media Management with Rhodes University in South Africa. I have also studied law and business administration.

I have acted as Assistant District Commissioner responsible for various projects in a district of of almost 8000 sq kilometres.I have also worked as a Public Relations Officer.

I have worked as a national editor for a State News Agency since 1999.

My work has been aired on almost all radio stations in my country as well as publsihed in almost all newspapers.Through the News Agency, my stories have been broadcast on BBC,SABC as well as VOA.Foreign newspapers have also published my stories which can be found on the websites.

I have travelled widely and in some instances I was in the delegation of our state president.

I have also won various writing competitions.

I like to make friends and can write on anything.

The University Council and academics who consist of deans of faculties as well as heads of departments at the University of Malawi have been at loggerheads over a controversial quota system that the institution agreed to use this year when selecting students.
At a recent meeting the senate decided not to implement the district-based quota system as is, with one member saying that it was overwhelmingly rejected by all but one person. The senate agreed to a quota system if it was to take poverty and disability into consideration but not the districts students come from.
