: About Me

I reside in a small village in the midwest with my husband of nearly 28 yrs and a big 130 lb German Shepard dog named Boomer. I am a Mother to three wonderful, loving adult chidlren and known as "Memee" to five beautiful and healthy grandchildren.

We live in a big rambling 110 yr old house built in 1897 that belonged to my husbands family. Surrounded by rich black soil where corn and soy beans grow. I am so blessed to be able to experience the four seasons of the year and forever in awe of the beauty each one displays.

My love for reading and writing guided me to this site more than a year ago and now I am "hooked on Helium"! I enjoy reading what others have written, and love the fact that I have a place to put my "thoughts and stories" out there for others to read and rate.

My hobbies are collecting cookbooks ( last count was over 600), gardening, swimming and of course reading and writing. My life is close to perfect so I can't help but exclaim..."Life is good, very, very good....

Hope and change in a world so deranged Why are you not seeking God's grace? So much war and destruction all over the place. What kind of legacy can we live our children and grandchildren Hope and change said with a prayer to God on high drop to your knees and look up to the sky. The world he created for all mankind has become ugly and evil I think each time it rains...it's God crying Sadden by all the cheating and lying. Change the hope to a prayer and ask God for his help and love drop to your knees and pray to God above.
