I'm 46, divorced, living near Norman, Oklahoma. I have 5 years of college with a 3.8 average. My major was in marketing, but it was always my goal to have a well-rounded education. I've led a very full life. My work experience has been extremely varied: kitchen manager for a burgers & nachos restaurant in Oklahoma City, oilfield information salesman, industrial maintenance products salesman, shopper paper ad salesman, sales manager, and then publisher. And then after my first divorce, I became involved in the patriot movement of the 90's to return the United States government to its constitutional limitations - so I studied the history and application of statutory law. It was at that point that I rejected the corporate mindset I'd had in my twentites, and joined the ranks of the working class by becoming a professional finisher.
Writing comes naturally to me - I've always been a bookworm, and have played the piano since I was 8 years old. Thus, typing on the keyboard is like making music with words. What I will write will, at its best, come directly out of my experiences as a dreamer & idealist that matures into a man of knowledge and discernment.
The Gift Makes Room for Itself I address this subject of how to help neighbors who are struggling financially first by remembering that no gift goes without some merit. Maybe there's a cash register up in heaven somewhere that rings every time we make a sacrifice so that somebody we barely know, but who is in our nearby community, can make it one more day. In my own experience, this has been the case, for while the times may be rough, for everyone including me, we can always pull through together. All business is local, whether it is on a global economic scale, or a transaction at a garage...
